Last week we went to Nuevo Progreso, Mexico to a dentist so I could have a molar pulled.
Downtown Nuevo Progreso, immediately across the international bridge, appears to be mostly populated by dentists. The dentist directory for Nuevo Progreso lists about 90 dentists and most of them are within a two block area.
I was looking for a particular dentist that is listed in the directory, but before I could find her office Adinete lead me a dentist whose assistant was soliciting customers on the sidewalk.
The initial examination was free and charge for a simple extraction was $25.00.
After the dentist pulled the tooth we paid an additional $18.00 for an antibiotic.
I need additional dental work including a root canal, a post for one tooth, and two porcelain crowns, all of which will cost $550.00 according to the estimate the dentist gave me.
By the way, the dentist speaks English.
